About Kay Bee

Kay Bee is a Tkaronto (Toronto) based artist and undergrad student at OCADU. Kay majors in Drawing & Painting but has recently ventured into digital mediums. Early in their art career, Kay has participated in mural painting for their hometown and volunteered for a children's art camp at the Robert Mclaughlin Gallery. 

Recently, in light of the year 2020, their work serves as an ode to living life to the fullest, in a time of unsureness and unpredictability. Their latest works act as a response to this upheaval of security and embraces the moments of joy, spontaneity, and humour they are able to treasure in their everyday life. Their recent works are based on photographs they’ve captured in these moments that inspire each digital “painting”. Brought together by vibrant, kaleidoscopic colours and party-culture like motifs, their radiates humour, light, and joy.
